David E. Peterson

David E. Peterson, an attorney of the Befera Law Firm, represents clients in complex civil litigation.  Mr. Peterson's practice includes representing those affected by personal injuries and defending individuals facing professional liability claims.

Mr. Peterson received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1977 and a Master's degree from South Dakota State University in 1980.  He received a Juris Doctor degree from Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law in 1988.  He is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and before the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida and United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.

Mr. Peterson is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a select group of attorneys who have obtained verdicts and settlements in excess of $1,000,000.

Mr. Peterson has a wealth of trial and litigation experience at both the state and federal level, including Forgione v. Dennis Pirtle Agency, Inc. 132 F.3rd 645 (Fla. 11th Cir. Ct. 1998) and Browning-Ferris v. Kargauer, 707 So.2d 427 (Fla.3d DCA 1998).  He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA), Florida Bar, and the American Association for Justice

A resident of Miami for over 20 years, Mr. Peterson is active in the community and serves on the Parks and Recreation and Emergency Management Advisory Boards for Coral Gables, Florida.
